Our Commitment to Quality
The K-Five Quality Control Team works to continuously exceed our customer’s expectations. We are leaders in the industry with state of the art equipment, labs and dedicated professionals, as evidenced by our award winning projects. Many of these projects represent the highest profile construction sites and agency highway contracts within the greater Chicagoland area. K-Five embraces the standards set forth by the state agencies and performs frequent testing and sampling to assure that materials produced by K-Five meet or exceed the current specifications. All of our quality control personnel is required to complete training to make sure they are up to date on the latest standards and methods. We have learned through constant communication with our customers how important quality control and assurance are in developing our customer’s trust and satisfaction. You can learn more about this commitment by reading about the numerous industry awards K-Five has received.
Additionally, we make our quality team and resources available to other contractors at very competitive rates to perform various quality control measures. The most utilized services are the rental of our high speed profilograph and Keystone Flatliner pavement smoothing tool which is critical for meeting IRI specifications. The International Roughness Index (IRI) measurement is required by United States Federal Highway Administration projects to determine smoothness and can help decide whether penalties or bonus payments are warranted on projects. If you require these services or are interested in learning more information about the quality control services we offer, please contact Mark Lindbloom at MarkL@k-five.net.
